Michael Simon has been working in orchards in the Tonasket area since 1972. He moved five acres of his trees into organic production in 1999, and is on schedule to have his entire orchard organic certified in 2007.
Located on the sunny Omak highlands, Bartella Farms’ 28-acre orchard grows a diverse mix of fruits such as apples, pears and grapes. For the past decade they have practiced low impact strategies and converted five acres to meet WSDA organic standards.

A fifth generation family farm, Cascade Crest Organics is a 225
acre diversified tree fruit farm in Pateros, WA, taking good care to
protect the river habitat for endangered species in the Methow River.
Filaree Farm is known across the country for their one hundred unique strains of garlic. The Okanogan Farm was also the one hundredth farm to be certified organic by Washington back in 1977.

Grandpa’s Homeplace (also know as J&B Orchards) is located on the Omak Flats in a sun drenched environment where apples, cherries, and pears thrive. Jim’s family has been on the land for three generations.
The McLean family grow wheat using no-till practices and raise certified Black Angus and Shorthorn Cattle (primarily as seed stock) on some of the toughest, driest conditions in the state. Located in Coulee City, WA.
Andrea and Jerry Pipitone have adhered to strictly organic practices since 1978. The caring hands of the Pipitones grow wonderful apricots, garlic, Italian prunes, nectarines, peaches, peppers, tomatoes and shallots in the little town of Rock Island.
Norm and Diane Weddle of River Willow Ranch grow apricots, apples, cherries, pears, and row crops in Okanogan county. The farm is WSDA certified organic.
Natividad Rubio of Rubio Farms grows row crops on a small farm in Okanogan county.
Mariah Cornwoman and Bob Raymer of Twin Tail Farm grow a variety of medicinal and culinary herbs, mushrooms, seeds, bulbs, flowers, and row crops in Okanogan county.
