Farming and the Environment is building a partnership between Washington’s farming and environmental communities.

Together, with our common love for the land, we’re creating economic opportunities for strengthening and expanding environmental stewardship on Washington’s farms and ranches.

We'll put your tax-deductible donation to work to improve the economic viability of farmers and ranchers who are doing right by the land by:

• Organizing farmer-owned marketing distribution groups that will enable rural communities of stewardship farms to conserve their resources and achieve the economies of scale needed to gain profitable access to urban markets.
• Creating larger scale economic opportunities for Stewardship Farmers across Washington State by brokering relationships with local grocers and chefs.
• Launching farmers markets dedicated to promoting stewardship of our environment and health.
• Recognizing and rewarding exemplary stewards of our land with our Annual Vim Wright Stewardship Award.
